Meta and Mark Zuckerberg were hit with a shareholder lawsuit in federal court Thursday, alleging they have refused to disclose the increased threat of sexual predators on Facebook and Instagram, while maintaining ineffective controls to prevent them.

The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California by attorneys of Bottini & Bottini in La Jolla, California, on behalf of plaintiff and investor Matt Eisner for violation of Section 14(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
