Former President Donald Trump has filed a motion seeking the recusal of acting Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan from his criminal case, according to his attorney and a statement posted on his campaign website.

The motion was filed Wednesday, according to defense attorney Todd Blanche. The motion will remain under seal pending review by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, a source with knowledge of the case said, but could be made public as early as Friday.
