The setup: a young aide to important political figure is subpoenaed to testify before the January 6th Committee. Being disinclined (and perhaps unable) to pay the six-figure fee quoted by several lawyers for representation, she accepts an offer from a lawyer being paid by a conservative PAC to represent her for free.
