Connecticut Attorney General William Tong said Purdue Pharma LP’s restructuring plan submitted in a New York bankruptcy court—in which the company offers $4.2 billion to settle opioid lawsuits—doesn’t go far enough and is promising to continue the state’s litigation against the Stamford-based company.

“We are still deep in it. We are pursuing claims in bankruptcy court and we doing everything to hold the Sacklers and Purdue Pharma accountable. The lawsuit continues,” Tong said Thursday. The Sackler family owns most of the company’s assets.
