The U.S. Department of Justice’s decision Wednesday to drop a Trump-era lawsuit against Yale University likely signals the beginning of the dismantling of directives and rules from the former administration, legal experts said.

Under President Donald Trump, the DOJ sued Yale, alleging the university discriminated against whites and Asian Americans in undergraduate admissions. But it’s changed direction less than one month into a new administration.
