We commend Gov. Ned Lamont and the General Assembly for enacting voting reforms for the 2020 national and state elections that will make it much easier for people concerned about the COVID-19 virus to vote by casting “no excuse” absentee ballots.

In the September special session, the General Assembly expanded the state’s formerly restrictive absentee ballot statute to enable voters concerned about the virus but not suffering from it to request and cast an absentee ballot.
