The Minority Corporate Counsel Association recently released its latest survey of general counsel at the top companies in the U.S., and found that despite some advances, representation of minorities and women in the ranks is still rather thin.

The MCCA, an advocacy group for minority attorneys, puts out its General Counsel Survey each year to track how many minorities and women are top lawyers at Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies. This year’s survey shows some gains, particularly for women general counsel, but still indicates there is a lot of work to be done.
