A column in the Washington City Paper Friday fired back a response to Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder’s lawsuit against the paper because of a piece by writer Dave McKenna last fall.

The piece by Michael Schaffer hammers Snyder’s legal threats and a quote from a letter to the paper penned by Redskins general counsel David Donovan that said: “We presume that defending such litigation would not be a rational strategy for an investment fund such as yours. Indeed, the cost of the litigation would presumably quickly outstrip the asset value of the Washington City Paper.”
