Expect federal regulators to further escalate scrutiny of the antitrust landscape, experts say, as they unleash novel theories related to labor markets, roll-up deals and even seemingly innocuous exchanges of information within an industry.
Jones Day partners Peter Julian and Kevin Hart highlighted those areas Thursday during a Level Legal-sponsored webinar on emerging antitrust issues. The pair say that the Justice Department and Federal Trade Commission over the course of President Joe Biden’s presidency have recast antitrust enforcement in a dramatic and radical fashion.
