After 23 years at the American Hospital Association, longtime general counsel Melinda “Mindy” Hatton will retire in the spring.

Hatton joined the health care industry group as Washington, D.C., counsel in 2000 and became general counsel in 2007. She joined the trade group after almost six years at Hogan and Hartson, where she was a partner specializing in antitrust, privacy and consumer protection issues. Before that, she was antitrust counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Antitrust, Monopolies and Business Rights.
