Earlier this month, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled that the Biden administration had likely violated the First Amendment for “coercing” social media platforms to take down “disfavored” content from their sites that it deemed to be misinformation about topics such as COVID-19 or the 2020 elections.

Following that ruling, the court issued an injunction against several members of the Biden White House, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the FBI. The Supreme Court, however, quickly put a pause on the injunction, which was still in effect at press time.
