A federal judge ruled that three senior Southwest Airlines attorneys must undergo “religious liberty” training by Sept. 26, rejecting the airline’s pleas that he put the training on hold while it appeals.

In a 23-page order, Dallas Judge Brantley Starr disagreed that his sanctions—which Southwest had called “unprecedented” and ideological—violated the First Amendment or likely would be overturned on appeal.
