It isn’t often legal chiefs make mainstream headline news, but that’s just where Twitter Chief Legal Officer Vijaya Gadde now finds herself, amid the ongoing drama of Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s acquisition of the social media platform.

Gadde’s role and prior work at Twitter have taken on national attention this week, amid Musk’s ongoing slights at the social medial platform. Corporate governance experts predicted a falling out in Twitter’s legal department if Musk completes the deal but also noted the benefits of Gadde staying in the role, both for the platform and for Musk.
