In-house counsel grappling with setting environmental, social and governance standards face an information gap that could limit assessments and goal-setting, an executive survey by business spending software company Coupa reported.

Released Thursday, ”How to Mitigate ESG Risk in Your Supply Chain” found 48% of businesses surveyed said there’s not enough data being shared from supply chain partners. That’s despite 97% of respondents saying that information is critical to assessing ESG risk and compliance.
