As corporate legal departments double down on moves to boost diversity, equity and inclusion, the Association of Corporate Counsel and its foundation on Tuesday launched a tool to measure just how effective those efforts are.

The DEI maturity model focuses on 13 corporate functions, including strategic planning, recruitment, governance and resourcing, and talent retention. For each function, legal departments can then use the model’s criteria to assess which of three maturity levels their DEI efforts fall into: early, intermediate or advanced.
