Legal professionals are, by virtue of their work, master communicators, and likely to give dozens if not hundreds of presentations in any given calendar year. However, it bears noting: In an age where the average human attention span has now shrunk to just 8 seconds (less than that of a goldfish), and Zoom fatigue is increasingly on the rise? It also pays for even the most experienced attorneys to be aware that it’s becoming harder and harder to capture and hold modern audiences’ attention than ever.

Noting this, having served as a keynote speaker and trainer for hundreds of organizations, I’ve found that it’s important to rethink how we fundamentally design speaking presentations – especially those designed to convince and convert, let alone delivered online or virtually – to make audiences immediately tune in… and keep them from tuning out.
