Legal departments can expect their companies to face new cyber threats in the form of deep fakes and phishing, according to the seventh annual Experian Data Breach Industry Forecast published Monday.

Michael Bruemmer, the vice president of consumer protection, said Monday there was only one reported incident of someone using a deep fake voice to get money from a company. However, because the technology has become more sophisticated, he would expect that more executives run the risk of having their voice cloned to give orders to employees, which could include passing data or money to hackers.
