Alanna Rutherford—who at one point was both the youngest and the sole African-American equity partner at Boies Schiller Flexner—has jumped to the legal department at Visa Inc., joining the company on June 25 as vice president of global litigation.

Before leaving earlier this month, Rutherford had spent almost 17 years at Boies Schiller, joining after finishing a clerkship on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in 2001. The National Law Journal and New York Law Journal both highlighted her work at the firm in recent years.
