This is not the story I thought I would be telling.

When my editor asked me if I wanted to cover Hillary Clinton’s election night at the Javits Center, I didn’t hesitate it. Without shame, I hustled, using every personal and professional chip to get a last-minute press pass. And what journalist would do otherwise? It promised to be an incredible historical event: the election of America’s first female president. Plus, I thought it would be one hell of a party

How naive I was.

What started as a festive celebration devolved into an evening of disbelief and utter dismay.  My photos from that night tell the story.
