Baker & McKenzie has hired a mergers and acquisitions partner for its Tokyo office.

Jeremy White was previously a counsel with Allen & Overy. He focuses mainly on outbound transactions for Japanese conglomerates, though he also advises on inbound investments into Japan.

He first joined Allen & Overy as a trainee in London in 1999, transferring to Tokyo eight years later. He was promoted to counsel in 2010.

Baker & McKenzie’s Tokyo office now has about 150 lawyers, including 45 partners. The firm employs 4,000 lawyers in 74 offices worldwide.
