Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton has hired a new intellectual property partner in Beijing.
Scott Palmer was previously a partner in the Beijing office of Baker & McKenzie. He manages IP portfolios for multinational companies, advising on trademark and copyright registration as well as enforcement strategies.
In 2009, Palmer was part of the Baker & McKenzie team that advised automaker Dr. Ing. h.c.F. Porsche A.G. on a successful copyright protection action in China. He became a partner at the firm the same year.
Sheppard Mullin has 20 lawyers workings in its Beijing and Shanghai offices. Globally, the firm has 630 lawyers and 16 offices.
