Clayton Utz has hired a new partner for its Perth construction and projects practice.
Clive Luck joins from the local office of U.S. firm Squire Sanders, where he was also a partner.
Luck focuses on construction, engineering and infrastructure projects. Earlier this year, he advised Western Australia state-owned electricity supplier Horizon Power on the $73 million construction and operation of a new power station in Carnavon, an isolated coastal town located 900 kilometers north of Perth.
Luck was one of 15 Minter Ellison partners who left that firm to launch the Perth office for Squire Sanders last August. Prior to joining Minter Ellison in 2007, Luck was an associate at Sydney-based Corrs Chambers Westgarth.
Luck will be one of five partners Clayton Utz’s construction team in Perth.
