It took less than a day of deliberations, but on November 23, jurors in federal district court in Oakland awarded a record copyright infringement verdict to Oracle Corporation. Jurors ordered German business software company SAP AG to pay rival Oracle $1.3 billion for infringing on Oracle’s intellectual property related to its enterprise software products.
