Mergerlinks, a financial data provider, generated the rankings based on total deal value of the deals they led. With the caveat that those who drive a deal are known really only to the deal teams, there are seven different dealmaker firms on the chart, with Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz taking three of those spots and Sullivan & Cromwell taking two.
