For the second time, a detainee in the UAE emirate of Ras-Al-Kaimah (RAK) has alleged torture and blackmail against Dechert and its head of white collar, Neil Gerrard.
On Thursday, a Jordanian citizen of Palestinian origin, Jihad Quzmar, lodged a claim in London’s High Court against both the firm and Gerrard, accusing the latter of applying pressure and using blackmail to implicate a third party in a fraud, according to the documents.
