From a discussion among several female Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton attorneys about how to develop business relationships came a recent event held at The Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles. The event drew more than 100 women attorneys, clients and friends. "It [was] something more than the standard [basketball] game as an official client development event," says Whitney Roy, the Sheppard Mullin associate who organized the event. "Not all women lawyers and clients want to play a round of golf."

Several women lawyers at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton were sitting around at a recent lunch, talking about how to develop client relationships.
Someone suggested creating an event to which they would invite Sheppard Mullin female attorneys, their guests and clients. The intent would be to mingle and meet, creating relationships that might one day add to a book of business.
