Fulbright & Jaworksi has continued its investment in London with the hire of a partner from London outfit Watson Farley & Williams.

Susan Farmer joins the American firm’s London energy and project finance team, where she will work alongside partners Christopher Clement-Davies and Jeremy Sheldon.She has more than 15 years’ experience advising oil and gas companies on joint venture agreements, product sale and purchase agreements and transportation agreements.Farmer becomes the second project finance partner Fulbright has hired in London over the last few months, with the Texas-based law firm having recruited Andrew Hart from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in August.That month Fulbright also hired Barlow Lyde & Gilbert financial regulatory head Chris Warren-Smith as a partner.Commenting on the latest appointment, Fulbright global energy Chief Michael Irvin said: “We have made great progress in deepening our international energy team … and enhancing Fulbright’s ability to assist clients with a wide range of energy transactions. Susan is the latest addition to our diverse and experienced team.”Farmer added: “Fulbright’s reputation in the energy industry �- together with its offices in the important mainland China and Hong Kong markets, two offices in the Middle East and its strategic London office �- make it an ideal fit for my practice.”Fulbright’s global energy practice now numbers more than 220 lawyers.
