Private equity giant 3i has appointed General Electric senior managing director Kevin Dunn as its new general counsel, replacing outgoing incumbent Tony Brierley, who is to retire. Dunn previously ran the European leveraged finance business for GE's commercial finance division and will now have responsibility for 3i's in-house legal department of 16 lawyers, as well as overseeing its compliance and internal audit functions.
