Following in the steps of Florida's Miami-Dade County, complex business lawsuits in the state's Broward Circuit Court soon may be heard in a specialized new business court designed to streamline the handling of such cases and allow judges to gain more expertise. Business litigators are pushing hard for it, and Broward Chief Judge-elect Victor Tobin said that he supports such a court. Some attorneys argue, though, that a business court would give unfair advantages to wealthy people and corporations.
