The Securities and Exchange Commission agreed Wednesday to better coordinate with auditing regulators to refine guidance for complying with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Both the SEC and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board are trying to strike a balance between reducing the costs of regulation and preserving safeguards for investors.
