Contempt fines are mounting at the rate of $1,000 a day against Emani Taylor, the lawyer who served three years as guardian for John L. Phillips, a retired New York Civil Court judge.

As of Friday, the contempt order issued by Brooklyn Acting Supreme Court Justice Michael L. Pesce on Dec. 19 has been in place 22 days.
