White-collar firm Carroll & Brotman, described by a large-firm litigation partner as "among the best," will officially close its doors on Dec. 29, now that John Rogers Carroll, 78, is retiring, and Ellen C. Brotman is joining Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads. Brotman is the latest in a string of recent additions to Montgomery; others include Evelyn McConathy, who joined as a partner from Drinker Biddle & Reath, and of counsel Joyce B. Link, who was a partner with Bricker & Eckler.
