Tingling denied Grubman's motion to preclude plaintiff Sarah Thorne, who claims to have suffered three broken ribs and seeks $10 million in damages, from offering the testimony of an expert in complex-accident analysis.

Plaintiff Sarah Thorne claims to have suffered two broken ribs when struck by the SUV and a third when, after being thrown into the air, she struck the ground. She is seeking $5 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.
