The family of a Texas pastor who was electrocuted while doing a baptism has settled a wrongful death suit alleging contractor negligence in the design, assembly and installation of heaters in the baptistry. The suit claims both heaters had previously been damaged by overheating, exposing the electrical components to contact with water in the heater pipes. When the baptistry was filled with water and the heaters turned on, the suit alleges, electric current was allowed to pass into the water.
