A judge targeted in an alleged murder plot by a former Mafia boss should remain on the case rather than give in to the defendant’s attempt at judge shopping, federal prosecutors argued Wednesday.
In papers filed to Eastern District of New York Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis, prosecutors said the alleged plot of Vincent Basciano was ill conceived and “short-lived.”
