A recent survey has found that it's not just a big-firm world after all. When Corporate Counsel asked Fortune 250 general counsel to name their primary law firms in four areas -- litigation, corporate transactions, labor and employment, and intellectual property -- it found that nearly 25 percent of the 380 firms named by respondents had 40 or fewer attorneys. Sure, small firms may represent small to midsize businesses, but they can also reach much further.
