Japanese electronics company Toshiba has settled a patent dispute over flash memory chips with U.S. semiconductor maker Micron Technology. Toshiba will purchase some of Micron's semiconductor technology patents and also license patents previously owned by Lexar Media for $288 million. The settlement comes after Lexar filed a complaint with the International Trade Commission earlier this year seeking an exclusionary order to prohibit Toshiba from exporting the disputed products to the United States.

Toshiba will purchase some of Micron’s semiconductor technology patents and also license patents previously owned by Lexar Media Inc. for $288 million, according to a joint statement released Friday.
