A police officer who called attention to environmental hazards at a New York City precinct house and was allegedly punished cannot sue for retaliation, a federal judge has ruled.
Southern District Judge Sidney Stein said that a recent U.S. Supreme Court case prevented a former city police sergeant from seeking damages under the First and 14th Amendments.
