Concerns about identity theft prompted a group of nine Union Pacific employees to sue the nation's largest railroad on Friday over the way it uses Social Security numbers to identify employees. In May, the company disclosed that a computer with names and Social Security numbers of 30,000 current or retired employees had been stolen in April and that those affected would receive one year of credit monitoring. The suit was filed on behalf of a class that could include 30,000 members.
