President Bush on Wednesday sent four nominations to the Senate to fill vacancies on federal appellate courts. Nominated were Kent Jordan of Delaware, for the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals; Debra Ann Livingston of New York, for the 2nd Circuit; and Raymond Kethledge and Stephen Joseph Murphy III, both of Michigan, for the 6th Circuit. Jordan, who has been a federal district judge in Delaware since 2002, is the only one of the four nominees who has served as a judge.
