Eminem's publishers have settled a lawsuit, pending court approval, against one of the companies sued in a dispute involving the online sale of the Grammy-winning rapper's songs as cell phone ringtones. A lawyer for Colorado-based Cellus US said the company agreed to stop distributing the ringtones, but she declined to say whether it had paid any money to settle the suit.

Grammy-winning rapper Eminem’s publishing companies have settled a lawsuit filed in what they said was an effort to illegally sell his songs as cell phone ringtones.
Michigan-based Eight Mile Style and Martin Affiliated filed suit Oct. 4 in U.S. District Court in Detroit against five companies. The suits asked for an order to prohibit the companies from illegally selling Eminem song ringtones on the Internet.
