Rappers Kanye West and Ludacris scored a legal victory last week when a jury in a copyright infringement trial concluded that their song "Stand Up" did not copy a tune by a New Jersey group. Ludacris said he never doubted that the jury would agree that the song he and West created did not sound like I.O.F.'s "Straight Like That." One of the plaintiffs said they plan to appeal, adding that their case was damaged when the judge excluded their music expert from testifying.
