Although the clinical law program at City University of New York School of Law ranks fifth in the nation, some people say the school's image needs work. In a 2004 commentary, the New York Post called the school a "significant drag on the university's otherwise remarkable academic turnaround." New dean Michelle J. Anderson intends to spread the word that CUNY Law is an "extraordinary success story" that is "absolutely at the top of its game in the teaching of practical clinical courses."
