A Georgia judge will end up deciding whether the Florida Bar must compensate thousands of victims of disbarred Miami attorney Louis Robles out of a special victims fund.

In an unusual twist, a class action lawsuit filed by Robles’ former clients against the Bar was transferred to Willis B. Hunt Jr., a senior federal judge in Atlanta, after the first judge recused himself. U.S. District Judge Paul Huck in Miami cited a conflict of interest as a member of the Florida Bar.
