Jennifer Zito has been flying nearly solo as an attorney since 1994, and it’s a flight she couldn’t have made so successfully had she not had a base of experience and support, and stepped into an established practice in Meriden, Conn., whose principal has continued to serve as her right arm even as he’s reduced his workload.
As a mother of three children, Zito’s solo practice hasn’t kept her from working a reduced schedule herself when necessary, such as for her two maternity leaves, one of which entailed nine months of bed rest. That time she gave birth to twins.
