A lawsuit filed last week in Miami federal court alleges that the accounting firm BDO Seidman and two Florida partners helped perpetuate one of the largest white-collar scams in South Florida. Solo practitioner Warren R. Trazenfeld filed the suit on behalf of Lewis B. Freeman, who took over the failed E.S. Bankest. which allegedly ran a complicated shell game by inflating the value of high-risk assets for sale to investors. Freeman is seeking $170 million for about 20 creditors.
