A payday loans provider has filed a federal lawsuit against Google, claiming its trademark was exploited by the leading Internet search engine in advertisement sales. CNG Financial Corp., which owns more than 1,300 Check 'n Go stores in 35 states, wants an order preventing Google from selling ads linked to the Check 'n Go name. The Ohio-based CNG Financial says Google's practice of selling ads linked to company trademarks gives rivals a chance to lure away prospective customers.
