When Brobeck bankruptcy trustee Ronald Greenspan made a settlement offer to the defunct firm's former employees, some said their worries that they would get shortchanged were realized. The unhappy ex-employees now have a lawyer in their corner. Scott McNutt has agreed to represent any employee who opts out of the settlement agreement for a contingency fee equal to 25 percent of the difference between the proffered settlement and the final recovery. McNutt says about 300 former employees have signed up.
