While large law firms adopt CEO-style management models to streamline strategy and speed decision-making, smaller firms are more consensus driven. Management experts say CEO Stuart Liner's model holds some pitfalls. But with Liner at the helm, he and others at the firm say, it frees everyone else up to focus on lawyering.
