Eight Fulton County, Ga., sheriff's deputies turned in their guns and badges Monday after being fired for violations leading up to the March 11 courthouse shootings and during the subsequent investigation. Among those sacked by Fulton Sheriff Myron Freeman was the major who oversaw courthouse security for the past 2 1/2 years. Overall, 13 employees were subject to 14 disciplinary actions, the sheriff said.
